Lore

This is confirmed by its Japanese describ, Incarnation of Kings (王たちの化身, light. Outachi nobelium Keshin), as well as the description from the Soul of the Lords.[1] As such, it wields the combined abilities, weapons, and magic of its components, bighearted him awful power.
The Soul of Clinker's role as the deific manifestation of the former Lords of Clinker is to defend the flame; as such, it acts American Samoa the final line of defence against the Ashen One when they arrive at the resting billet of the First Flame.

Fight Overview
The Soul of Clinker gaffer fight off consists of two main phases:
Stage 1
Soul of Clinker can use quartet different artillery stances, each utilizing different skills and attacks based on a magic case in the game (excluding hexes).
- Standard (full-strength steel): Information technology's default stance combines quick slashes and thrust attacks at range. Utilizes cardinal alone weapon skills, one being an enhanced version of "stance", a "guard breaking" cut with increased range, and another which is ii slow, but powerful, spin attacks.
- Scimitar/Pyromancy: Quick, horizontal slashes and lesion-up semi-climbing slashes, and a quick, evasive slash or backflip to avoid attacks and can parry attacks and deliver a reposte. Also uses a combination of many hateful pyromancies, including Power Inside, Great Burning, Great Chaos Fire Ball and Poison Mist.
- State highway/Miracles: Attacks with quick thrust attacks, or slow and powerful lunges forward. Uses a combining of the characteristic "consign" acquirement of pikes, as well Eastern Samoa a spinning attack similar to the ii-one-handed beardown attack several halberds have. Can plaster cast a variety of restorative surgery utilitarian miracles, such American Samoa Wrath of the Gods, Sacred Expletive, Heal and Bountiful Well-lighted. When Inviolable Oath is cast, it pot persist into other stances for the continuance (60 seconds, if not refreshed).
- Staff/Sorceries: Casts a assortment of powerful spells, varying from Crystal Somebody Spear, Farron Hail, Homing Quartz glass Soulmass, Soul Stream, Soul Greatsword and Great Farron Dart. Uses a unique variant of Homing Quartz Soulmass that acts as a persistent "buff", creating more soulmasses American Samoa the others diminish or launch outward. This issue can hold over into different stances while it lasts (60 seconds, if not refreshed). Has inactive battle royal attacks.
Phase 2
The Soul of Cinder's second phase begins once the first phase's wellness bar has been depleted. After restoring its health to full in a detrimental explosion of fire, atomic number 2 will abandon its previous moveset (reverting his sword to its default on variant if requisite) in favor of a moveset very related to Lord Gwyn's moveset from Darkened Souls, with the exclusion of few new attacks. The Somebody of Cinder will increase in hasten and damage at this point. Matchless of its new attacks involves three single uses of the Sunlight Spear miracle; the first being a standardized Sunshine Spear hurled forward, and the second being a Sunlight Spear that is thrown upward into the air. After a brief period, a cloud will form in the sky, an clunky thunderclap is heard and shower bath of orientating Sunshine Spears will rain down upon the player from the dapple, dealing massive damage, analogous to Splintering Lightning Spear up from Dark Souls II. You can see the cloud if you run away from Psyche of Cinder and look on upward above information technology. The final attack is where the Soul of Cinder throws a Sunlight Spear into the flat coat, causing a small, ground-founded area-of-effect of heavy lightning damage on impact, similarly to the Lightning Stake miracle.
Its sword attacks are identical to Gwyn's and can constitute dodged in a similar mode. However, the Soul of Cinder bequeath have a new, fast combo that, if involved in, will juggle the role player in the air. The antepenultimate set on of this combo is a stab into the anchor that causes a large, flaming detonation that encompasses a very large area or so him. The jazz group attacks have a fire projectile that will damage the player at range, soh it is informed to roll through all attack cautiously and keep away as the chain progresses further. It's one of the most powerful attacks in the series, nigh completely depleting a thespian's health if caught and unblocked.
Strategy
It is advised to finish the first phase quickly to conserve Estus for the second stage. This can be done by aiming to distribute the boss; by pressuring him and attacking constantly while avoiding its attacks, when it blind staggers there leave make up a brief window for a amply-charged strong attack. The boss won't stagger if the player gives it breathing space where its assuredness meter testament make full. Nonetheless, beware that this strategy is difficult to pull inactive when the Soul of Clinker uses its Scimitar moveset, because he will start attacking in quick succession. Attacks with heavier weapons suchlike Greataxes can stagger the boss within two to three repeated hits, in some cases with the weapon being wielded in 1 hand over lone.
During the second phase, information technology is best to maintain distance from the boss and try to bait exterior its startle snipe, which is well avoidable and leaves it open for a hit or two. IT is severe to keep close to the boss as it mightiness lead to depleting stamina and/or getting caught in his grab or five-hit combo. If caught past the snap up, the boss will receive an attack and defense boost for a unforesightful duration.
The Soul of Cinder is fragile to sorceries and lightning damage and susceptible to Dark damage. All the same, IT is slightly-resistant to give notice attacks, so pyromancies or fire damage will embody less effective, especially in the second phase.

- Seat't glucinium either parried or spell-parried.
- The Firelink Put keister be purchased from the Shrine Handmaid once the Individual of Cinder has been defeated. If role player purchased one before loss to the incoming NG cps, next one will appear in the undermentioned cps.
- During form one, patc using Sorcery set, he is extremely vulnerable to Vow of Secretiveness.
- During phase two, the fire explosion after some attacks is resourceful of deflecting spells.
- However, it testament non deflect throwable items like Kukri or Arrows.
- During the "pyromancy/scimitar" stage of the fight, the Soul of Clinker is capable of parrying the player and whatsoever close summons who are close to his front or at his side, and bequeath execute a captious onslaught on its initial target.
Trivia
- The Soul of Cinder's quint-hit combo is reminiscent of Manus's berserker/frenzy combo; both of them juggle the instrumentalist in the air for the continuance of the onrush.
- Its leggings and shoulder pauldrons look analogous to the ones on the Elite Dub Set and the chest slice looks corresponding to Yhorm's armor. The gauntlets appear identical to Alva's gauntlets, with some noticeable differences.
- Seeing as how the Soul of Cinder bears no part of the Faraam Set on its somebody, information technology is possible (given the convoluted timelines of the Glum Souls universe) that the Bearer of the Curse did not link the First Flame, possibly becoming an Unkindled.
- During the cutscene in Firelink Shrine that takes the role player to the kiln, the Fire Keeper will say "Let him/her grant death to the old gods of Lordran, deliverers of the First Flame up." This could reference the bosses defeated in the ordinal gritty, World Health Organization possessed souls that may have eventually found their way into the fire (if you did not produce chief weapons or eat them to Frampt). If that is faithful, IT means that this boss is not only the previous Lords of Cinder, but also every soul that was part of them.
- In the opening cutscene, person wearing the Firelink Set drags a clay into the enshrine ahead partaking in the ash tree rite that takes the player to the kiln. This could be the most Recent person to burn up in the fire, but whether or not they succeeded or failed is unknown.
- The Soul of Cinder has a burnt and deformed crown on top off of its helm in the boss battle, just its armour set lone has the back of the Crown on his helm, along with a chest banner for the Kingdom of Lothric.
- The backflip used by it during the "pyromancy/scimitar" phase closely resembles the one used with the Inactive Wood Grain Ring in Dark Souls.
- During the second phase, He can roll and dodge ranged attacks.
- The Soul of Cinder has a fifth weapon flair that goes unused, involving a greatsword. It covers both the consistency of the Soul of Cinder and the arm in flames much the like his final phase (for a picture see Hera: http://www.youtube.com/catch?v=ruKjgqhUr4A&t=14m50s). Whether IT was part of its archetypal phase, second phase angle, or something in-'tween is unknown.
- Due to how the Soul of Cinder took on Gwyn's moveset and persona for his second stage, it could be inferred that one's prominence within the Soul of Cinder is cognate the strength of their psyche. This could also explain why the Morta of Cinder's armor strongly resembles the Selected Dub Set that the Chosen Undead was depicted as wearing in most Dark Souls art; as the Chosen Undead had slain the seminal Lords and most presumptive absorbed their souls, their person would possess immense strength by the prison term they linked the Flame (if they so chose to do and so).
- This also explains why, in the second phase, the Soul of Cinder OST includes the musical motif associated with Lord Gwyn.
- In some promotional material, the Soul of Cinder is referred to as the Bloody Dub, equiprobable to avoid spoiling its true nature prior to the release of the game.
